Sport for your holiday at Lac du Causse
Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned sportsman, the Lac du Causse is one of the best multi-activity playgrounds around! With your bottom in the water, on your bike or in your best trainers, the Causse can be explored in a variety of ways and at different levels.
Swim, row or slide!
There are 2 swimming pools on the campsite : one next to the gîte village and another next to the campsite (next to the snack bar). And if you prefer open-water swimming, the Lac du Causse is an official pool for this discipline (several national and regional competitions are held there every year). Our facilities should therefore delight all swimmers, whether beginners or experienced!
Just down the road from the campsite, you'll find the Club des Sports Nautiques de Brive, which offers pedalos, stand-up paddles, kayaks and canoes for hire throughout the summer. You can even choose private lessons to improve your balance or rowing techniques!
Opposite the CNSB, you'll find the ASNBC (Port Couzage de Lissac). There's a great atmosphere on this side of the lake, with introductory courses in water-skiing, wake-boarding and towed buoys. The association offers a whole range of activities to help you discover or rediscover the thrill of gliding across the water!
Hiking!
Hiking in the Gascony region is almost THE sport of choice (after rugby, of course!). In all, there are 7 hiking trails to discover and explore within 7 km of the campsite. Starting from the Lac du Causse, don your best hiking boots, fill your water bottles and set off to discover the Causse corrézien and all its treasures! The hikes on offer are very accessible and suitable for children, parents and even grandparents!
As a bonus, the Causse also has a Terra Aventura geocaching trail. So, are you ready to hit the Causse?
Pedal!
There are no fewer than 14 signposted trails waiting to be explored. If you're a mountain bike enthusiast, you've come to the right place! There's a hire centre just a few metres from the campsite reception. Several types of mountain bikes are available for hire by the hour, half-day or even week. Muscular or electric, the mountain bikes can be adapted to suit your needs, and the team at the base will be delighted to advise you on your riding plans.
