Going to the market
At the Brive la Gaillarde market, a few dozen gaillardes were having a row over bunches of onions one day! It was Georges Brassens who made this famous meeting place famous. The Brive market takes place on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings in Place Georges Brassens all year round! Another not-to-be-missed event is Sunday morning in Objat: all the shops are open for the occasion, attracting nearly 10,000 people every week!
